Second Annual Metric Century

  Well, on Sunday, Sept 25th, we completed the second annual Atyrau Metric Century ride.  We were punished by the wind, but most survived 100Km or more with the majority of the riders finishing and with one subgroup hitting 104Km by the time we got to Gunter’s house.  I doubt the wind could have been much worse than the 35km/h winds we were having and still had conditions worth riding .    Congratulations to all riders that completed the very long and demanding ride.

A big thanks to Matt Gulland and Gunter Verbist for the route picking and leading us.  I would like to give a very special thanks to Carolien for the “snacks” after the ride which actually turned out to be a full on feast that was much appreciated by all.  Thanks to Matt G as well for supplying the other cool refreshments.
